Vacancy: Education in Emergency Project Manager
Based in Hanoi

They are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Education in Emergency Project Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with travels to project sites.

Job Purpose
The Education in Emergencies Capacity Building Project is a new initiative led by Save the Children Australia that aims to ensure that the regional capacity to respond to the education needs of children affected by emergencies across Asia and the Pacific is enhanced. This includes working with partner agencies and National Disaster Management offices to ensure regional emergency preparedness plans for the education sector are developed, that appropriate stockpiles of materials are procured and maintained, and that adequate support is available to initiate and run the Education in Emergencies Coordination Cluster should the need arise.

Main Responsibilities
The Education in Emergency Project Manager  is in charge of all aspects related to the design and implementation of Save the Children’s  Education in Emergencies (EiE)’s plans and activities in country.

Key Competencies 
- University degree in Education or Environment
- At least 3-5 years experience with emergency/education project implementation
- Highly developed relationship building & interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people
- Strong time management, administrative and organisational skills
- Demonstrated skills in personnel management and team development and training
- Excellent security awareness with experience of living and working in uncertain security environments 
- Experience of Education in Emergencies programming, desirable
- Computer literate and able to self- service for routine office purposes
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
