Position: Education and Communication Assistant

FOUR PAWS Viet is a Vietnamese NGO - partner of FOUR PAWS International, an animal welfare organization founded in 1988 with the Headquarter in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in 11 other countries.

FOUR PAWS aims to support the conservation of wild animals and prevent them from trade and exploitation while rescuing and rehabilitating those animals caught in the wildlife trade, to campaign for improved policy and enforcement through our work and the work of our partners and to raise public awareness for the need of biodiversity protection and conservation of wild animals and their habitats. The BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh has come into operation in November 2017.

FOUR PAWS Viet is searching for positive thinking people with great dedication and passion to animal welfare as soon as possible:

Position: Education and Communication Assistant (m/f)
Fulltime / BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, close to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam

Main duties:

1. Implement communication and branding activities for BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh in line with FOUR PAWS International marketing strategies.
Implement the FOUR PAWS International and FOUR PAWS Viet Communication and branding strategies and guidelines

• Assist in managing FOUR PAWS Viet Facebook, website and other social media pages
• Develop communication materials in both English and Vietnamese
• Assist in developing press release and bylined articles for FOUR PAWS Viet website and other communication channels
• Capture photos and videos of FOUR PAWS Viet’s activities and events
• Maintain a database of all FOUR PAWS Viet photos and videos from all the team members

2. Fundraising Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in preparing presentations and promotional materials
• Develop and manage the database of potential donors for FOUR PAWS Viet

3. Coordination of the FOUR PAWS Viet visitor center activities

• Assist where required in the design and implementation of the visitor center in the Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh.
• Provide talks to the public as well as tours for visitors.
• Support in the design and setting up of exhibits and signage around the sanctuary.

4. Provide assistance in education tasks

• Working with volunteers
• Coordinate training programs with student clubs

Requirements:

• Holding relevant bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, education or environment
• Very good written and spoken English and Vietnamese
• Computer literacy (MS Office requested)
• Experience in NGO work in Vietnam is an advantage
• Experience in content management for website, Facebook is an advantage
• Experience in marketing activation, event organization is an advantage
• Skill in graphic design is an advantage
• High level of responsibility and personal drive
• Creative and strategic thinking person
• Willingness to travel
• Dedication and passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS values and issues.
