Director of Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE)

The Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE) is an independent development organization working toward a prosperous, equal, democratic and tolerant society. Since its establishment, iSEE has always been open to new ideas, creating free spaces for the utmost contribution of staff and strengthening the independent status of the Institute. For some years, iSEE has proactively prepared for the change of Directorship to ensure the organisation’s sustainable growth. We have now been ready for the next stage and happy to announce the recruitment of a new director.

Working as iSEE’s Director, you will have a good chance to contribute to the changes in the lives of minority and disadvantaged groups, as well as to the development of Vietnam. You will have chance to work with an enthusiastic, active and committed team which is diverse in technical background, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity. Main responsibilities:

• Develop effective organization’s strategies to protect the human rights of minority groups and contribute to the prosperity of the society
• Manage resources and activities of the organization, including human resources, finance, office, partnerships and others
• Enrich and maintain organization’s culture of democracy, equality, tolerance of difference and celebration of diversity; inspire and encourage staff to contribute best to the community.

Main requirements:

• Hold a Master or Ph.D. degree in fields related to iSEE’s focuses;
• Have passion and rich experience in organizational management and development;
• Commit to values of equality, tolerance, freedom and non-discrimination;
• Be able to communicate in English effectively
• Have excellent communication skills

Reporting

The Director will report to the iSEE Institute Council, represented by Chairman of Institute Council

This post is a 4 year contract, renewable. 02 months probation period at start of contract. Terms and conditions as per iSEE personnel policy. Salary is attractive and competitive with other local and international NGOs, and based on your capacity and potential contributions to the organization.
