Culture Exchange and Volunteering Program Coordinator

Volunteers for Peace was established in 1982 in  America  as non- govermental organisation focused on culture exchange and volunteering program. Volunteers for Peace – Vietnam (VPV) has been working in Vietnam since 2005. Our mission is to provide volunteering opportunities for people from different culture  as a non-formal education way to experience a new culture.

Positions available
VPV is currently looking for the position of Culture and Volunteering Program Coordinator for Saigon area.

VPV has projects for  international volunteers who is working in different orphanages, center for disabled children or community class for poor students or NGOs in Saigon.

Scope of work
- Arranging the logistic issue for volunteer in program: airport pick-up, transportation guide for working in Saigon, daily issues support
- Impelementing project for volunteer:  project orientation, culture and langue guide, supporting volunteers at project,  communicating well with volunteers and local people to avoid culture misunderstanding
- Managing database of volunteers
- Working together with Vietnamese  volunteers in different project
- Participating in buidling new volunteers and culture exchange program in Saigon or the South.
- Other task as assigned by VPV management team

Requirements
- University degree
- Language skills: Strong verbal & written English, and strong written Vietnamese.
-  Good communication and presentation skills
- Good management and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and pay attention to details.
- Qualities: dynamic, results-oriented.
- IT skills: Word, Excel, Access, internet, etc
- Working experience on NGOs fieds is advance
- Priority given to candidates with strong volunteer experience along with active participation in social organizations and extracurricular activities.
