We are now recruiting a Coordinator PME and Resource mobilisation - We Effect Europe/Asia Regional Office, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The main objectives of the position are to contribute to increased resource mobilisation for We Effect and coordinate methodological development and quality assurance in We Effect.

Roles and responsibilities

General

  • Adhere to We Effects principles and values;
  • Actively contribute to the strengthening and improvement of our work, added value and synergies with and between partner organisations and other relevant actors;
  • Actively contribute to the development of the regional team. Communicate challenges, contribute to conflict resolution and promote transparency and accountability;
  • Develop and implement an annual work plan according to the format provided by the regional office;
  • Carry out any other duties as instructed by regional management.

Resource mobilisation

  • Update, further develop and implement the regional strategy and action plan for resource mobilisation;
  • Support and promote the development of strategic alliances with donor organisations and other strategic actors, with special emphasis on the EU;
  • Monitor and identify funding opportunities for We Effect and partner organisations;
  • Provide relevant training to the We Effect team and partner organisations in resource mobilisation skills;
  • Coordinate and support the regional team in the development of funding proposals;
  • Coordinate the resource mobilisation work in Europe/Asia with the other We Effect regions and the head office in Stockholm;
  • Coordinate needs for information material and targeted donor communication with the regional communication team; and
  • Evaluate and systematically document the experiences and lessons learnt.

Methodological development and quality assurance

  • Ensure coherence and relevance of We Effect projects and programmes with the global We Effect strategy and relevant policies;
  • Support and train the regional team and partner organisations in methods to ensure that We Effect works with a rights based approach;
  • Support the regional team and partner organisations in the implementation of the We Effect or other PME-systems;
  • Plan and coordinate the development of the annual report and reports for specific donors;
  • Support the development of terms of reference for evaluations of projects and programmes; and
  • Create and manage a consultant register in areas relevant to We Effect.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Academic degree in relevant field;
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in civil society organisations and/or international development cooperation;
  • Experience in development and implementation of methods for international development cooperation, including a human rights based approach, planning, monitoring, evaluation and risk management;
  • Experience in resource mobilisation for international development cooperation, development of funding proposals and good negotiation skills;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, works well in a team, excellent deadline management and ease to work towards set goals;
  • Interest and talent for systems management and development;
  • Good knowledge of international relations, EU development policy and international development cooperation;
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and in writing;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Available to work full time;
  • Driver’s license; and
  • Able and willing to travel when required.
  • Beneficial qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of quality management systems;
  • Knowledge and experience of organisational development, including financial administration and risk management
