Consultant to Review Aquaculture and Land Use Planning at Provincial Level in Vietnam

WWF-Vietnam is looking for Consultant to Review Aquaculture and Land use planning at provincial level in Vietnam (TOR is attached)

1. Objective of the consultancy

The aim of this service is to review the current status of aquaculture and land use planning at provincial level in Vietnam, and identify issues and challenges in aquaculture and land use planning and suggest the potential interventions to improve it. The outcome of this assignment will help WWF Vietnam to formulate its strategy to improve land use and aquaculture planning at the provincial level. Some of ten prioritized provinces belongs to Mekong River Delta in the South (Ca Mau, Soc Trang, An Giang), Central Region (Binh Thuan, Quang Nam, Hue, Ha Tinh), Red River Delta in the North (Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh) are chosen for these studies.

2. Required profile:

  • Own at least Master degrees in aquaculture or land use planning
  • Over 15 years of working on fisheries, aquaculture and land use planning
  • Experience of aquaculture issues in the Mekong Delta
  • Have close network in relevant ministries and provinces in Vietnam
  • Have a strong knowledge of biodiversity and natural resource management
  • Experience and working knowledge of aquaculture planning
