Consultant for IMAM Project Final Evaluation

Organization: Plan International Vietnam is looking for a consultancy to assess the project achievements of “Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition – IMAM” project in Quang Ngai. Plan is implementing the project Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition which aiming at improving child malnutrition in 4  mountainous communes in Ba To District, Quang Ngai province, Vietnam. The specific objective of IMAM is to improve the prevalence of acute malnourished children (wasting percent - weight for height Z score <-2) who recovered after receiving RUTF (Ready for Use Therapy Food). The main components of this project include:

  • Screen children under five years old in four communes and identify severe and moderate acute malnutrition (SAM/MAM) to provide the RUTF
  • Improve the knowledge and skills on child nutrition care for the parents/ caregivers with SAM/MAM
  • Enhance the capacity for the targeted commune health stations staff to provide the service of IMAM and village workers (WU/VHW) to counsel through home visits.

Plan Vietnam want to recruit consultant(s) to assess achievement against project objectives (outcomes) and project development goal (impact); and to make practical and specific recommendations for improvement in future project design and implementation as well as scaling up.
