Consultant to Carry out a Training Course on Integrating DRR and CCA into SEDP

Save the Children, the World’s largest independent organization for children, delivers immediate and lasting improvements to children’s lives in over 50 countries through emergency relief and long-term development. 

Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  The current programs focus on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; Education; Child protection; Child Poverty, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

Vacancy: A consultant to carry out a training course on integrating DRR and CCA into SEDP.

This training course will be trained for district/commune staffs on how to use approach and tools to develop SEDP with integrating DRR/CCA. This activity will organize two 3 days training course at each province.

The project “Building Resilience to Natural Hazards in Central Vietnam” funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Consortium, comprising the American Red Cross (ARC, as lead), working with and through Vietnam Red Cross (VNRC); Catholic Relief Services (CRS); HelpAge International, Vietnam (HAIV); Plan International (Plan) and Save the Children International (Save) aims to develop the disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) capacity of a range of stakeholders through a sustainable partnership to enhance safer and resilient communities in four provinces of Vietnam.

The Save the Children (SC) implement this project at Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces in 8 communes of 2 district from March 2016 to March 2017.
