Business Development Coordinator

SNV Vietnam is looking for a Business Development Coordinator (international contract)

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).  

We are looking for a Country Business Development Coordinator to be responsible for the support and coordination of resource mobilisation from institutional donors (bilateral and multilateral) and corporates. The BD Coordinator will also act as the M&E focal person in SNV Vietnam and is member of the Country Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of Business Development Strategies for SNV in Vietnam.
• Coordinate the proposal development process through opportunity research, facilitation of concept development, authoring non-technical content, editing technical content, ensuring donor-compliance during budget development, coordinating teaming and supporting contracting.
• Act as a SNV Vietnam focal point for global and regional proposal development.
• Deliver an effective internal Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation system, through regular training and coaching to in-country staff, and carrying out compliance audits.
• Build, maintain and diversify the donor network on regional and national level, through face to face meetings, attending special interest working groups, networking events and developing targeted PR materials.
• Training staff in CV and proposal writing, internal BD policies and processes, effective communication and donor management.
• Management of Communications Officer, BD Assistant, BD volunteers, interns and consultants
• Reports to the Country director of SNV Vietnam and maintains a functional relationship with SNV’s global Business Development Unit in The Hague and SNVUSA office in Washington DC.

Candidate profile

• Master’s Degree in International Development, a related subject or the equivalent in work experience
• Minimum 5 years of remarkable experience in business development, fundraising, proposal writing, partnership management and marketing
• Salesforce experience is an advantage
• Good experience working with multi-cultural and multi-sectoral teams
• Specific experience in the following sectors is preferable:  Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Water & Sanitation and REDD+
• Evident skills in networking with international stakeholders and potential donors
• Effective research, writing and budget development skills
• Excellent communicator and fluent in English
• Organised and Results oriented
• Good computer skills in MS-applications and Fundraising databases

Contract duration: 2 years with possibility of extension

Desired start date: As soon as possible, ideally in December 2014

Duty station: Hanoi, Vietnam
