CHF - Partners in Rural Development (MISSION CLOSED)

CHF is a Canadian NGO which works with other NGOs and provincial and district partners to strengthen the capacity of community-based organisations and to support self-help projects. It promotes policies that reduce poverty and carries out programmes that raise public understanding of development issues. CHF has been one of the front-runners in Vietnam with the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach (SLA). CHF's vision is articulated in its mission statement "CHF is a non-profit organization dedicated to enabling poor rural communities in developing countries to attain sustainable livelihoods." CHF’s mission statement is a clear articulation of its organizational mandate; it defines CHF’s targeted beneficiaries, an overarching and achievable goal, and the role of CHF as a link between the two. This mission statement is the genesis of a CHF specific approach to contribute to achieving the primary Millennium Development Goal: Poverty Eradication.
