Vietnam Fund Lends $1.19M to Wastewater Treatment, Fertilizer Projects

The Vietnam Environment Protection Fund May 19 lent Thai Hoa Quang Tri Co., Ltd VND22.6 billion ($1.19 million) to build a wastewater treatment system and a microorganism fertilizer production plant in the central province of Quang Ngai. The projects totaling nearly VND51 billion will be located at Huong Tan commune, Huong Hoa district, state media reported. The microorganism fertilizer plant, which will use coffee peels as the major material, will have an annual capacity of 30,000 tons, and the system is designed to treat 1,500 cubic meters of wastewater a day.  Thai Hoa Quang Tri Co., Ltd under Thai Hoa Group processes from 20,000 to 25,000 tons of coffee beans and discharges more than 100,000 cubic meters of wastewater a year.
