International Volunteer for Livelihoods Programme

Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  The current programme focuses on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS prevention; Care and support; Education; Child protection; Child-focused emergency preparedness and response; Child rights agenda, including Civil society development, Economic opportunities, Child poverty Research, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

Livelihoods sub-sector from Save the Children in Vietnam is conducting microfinance-related projects in Vietnam and need more support in technical assistance to implement microfinance component. This project aims at supporting FPW to develop their 5-year business plan in via capacity building activities.

They are looking for an International Volunteer for Livelihoods Programme for around 3 months. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with travels to project sites.
Based in Hanoi, Vietnam

Job Purpose
The international volunteer will work with project team, concentrating on technical matter related to microfinance. The volunteer’s effort will focus on the project: “Expanding Access to Financial Services for Rural Low-income Women” in Thanh Hoa province, in the partnership with Fund for Thanh Hoa Poor Women (FPW).

Key Competencies 
- Bachelor Degree in Economics / Banking and Finance / Business Administration
- Work / internship / volunteer experience in the field of banking and finance; or
- Experience with project management
- English native speaker.
