Communications Intern

ChildFund in Vietnam is part of the international ChildFund Alliance, a group of 12 child focused development organizations working since 1938 to improve the lives of children and families around the world. ChildFund in Vietnam has been supporting community development projects in Vietnam since 1995, focusing on health, education, sustainable livelihoods, water and sanitation and child
rights and protection. As a part of our activity expansion we are now seeking highly qualified candidates for the following
newly created position: COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (based in Hanoi, under a short-term contract)

Main Responsibilities:
- Assistance to the Grants and Funds Raising Officer in: implementing fundraising initiatives, seeking for grant opportunities inside and outside the country; identifying, recruiting and retaining donors; preparing project proposals and reports
- Assistance to the Communication Officer in: editing publications and IEC materials, writing internal and external publicity materials; instructing all staffs about communication style guide of ChildFund Vietnam
- Data collection and marketing materials writing
- Updating database, filing and archiving
- Providing interpretation and translation
- Logistical support for donors/sponsors visits, events and communication campaigns
- Other admin and support tasks to the Communications team if requiredOther appropriate duties as indicated by the line manager.

General Requirements:
- university qualification in relevant field
- experience working with an INGO or in development desirable
- well-developed skills in facilitation, organisation and presentation
- good organisational skills (time-management, systems management, planning, etc.)
- excellent translation and interpretation skills (English/Vietnamese)
- excellent computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- team work and interpersonal skills
- willing and able to undertake some work-related travel
- being committed in administrative type of work
