Joint advocacy workshop - CCWG, DMWG and JANI

In order to develop a joint climate change advocacy strategy for the Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) and the Disaster Management Working Group (DMWG) in Vietnam, a two- day workshop was organised on 7th and 8th June 2011 to consult with members of both working groups to agree on shared focus areas and identify clear objectives and influencing strategies of the joined advocacy strategy and action plan.

DMWG and CCWG/JANI is going to have a joint advocacy workshop on 7-8 June. The event will be organized in La Thanh hotel (you will be provided with meeting room soon). The tentative agenda is attached for your information.

 

The objective of the workshop is to develop a joint advocacy strategy and action plan for the CCWG and the DMWG.

ELAN enhancing resilience to climate change impacts through integrated approach

The Ecosystems and Livelihoods Adaptation Network (ELAN) was initiated in 2009 as a partnership between IUCN and WWF, thanks to the generous financial support from the MacArthur Foundation. In 2010, CARE International joined as a core member to enhance the Network’s integrated environmental and development focus. The development and livelihoods focus was further enhanced by the addition of the International Institute of Environment and Development (IIED) as a fourth core member in February 2011.
